Interesting trivia (well, to me anyway...)

I like to check my counter stats every now and then, just to see who's been sneaking by. :) A random check today shows that someone in Hawaii found me by Googling the phrase "patchouli beliefs". Well, that's just too interesting to pass up, so I took a look at some of the other results for that search. One site, called Heathenry Wiki, shows the following bit of trivia under "Patchouli":

Patchouli is strongly useful for warding off beings (either human or spirit) which are more evil in nature, as good-natured beings are attracted to the scent, while bad-natured beings loathe it.

Now, I know my friend Leland doesn't like patchouli, and he thinks it's solely the domain of unwashed, doped-up hippie types. I posit to you, Leland, that if the above is true, then we conservatives would do well to re-examine the benefits of the maligned patchouli oil, as it could help us in our quest to stamp out evil in government. I'm just sayin'... :D

'stamp out evil in government'

I was very bored and miserable the other night, and ended up watching 'The Wizard of Oz' on TV.

Why do I mention this gem of embarrassment? Both are pure fiction. The former at least while the present encumbent and his wife's 22 strong 'support staff' are in power.
